Porto Recanati installs 32 defibrillators, trains 50 responders for year-round heart safety

Porto Recanati has established a city-wide heart protection network with 32 defibrillators active year-round and 50 trained people ready to use them, a collaboration between the municipality, civil protection, Red Cross, and beach operators. The devices are distributed across the city, averaging one per 390 residents, with 13 purchased by the beach association for summer now being relocated for winter use. Twenty-seven trained individuals come from local associations and services, while 23 are beach operators. Mayor Andrea Michelini stated the project will continue beyond the summer season, with plans to expand training to new associations and increase the number of prepared responders, aiming for both quantitative and qualitative improvements to the network.
