Porto Alegre renovates square, adding dog-friendly area

Porto Alegre's Júlio Mesquita square now features a dedicated space for pets and their owners following recent renovations. The new dog park, located in front of the Gasômetro power plant, is open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, offering recreational amenities. The improvements include concrete paving, natural grass, play equipment, benches, and waste disposal facilities. The project was funded through a donation by ABF Developments, part of the "Partner of Porto Alegre" program. The city encourages further public space support via email.
