Poland transitions to electronic residency permit applications

nv.ua (Ukrainian)

Poland now requires electronic applications for residency permits. Starting April 27, 2026, all foreigners, including Ukrainians, must use the new MOS 2.0 portal. This necessitates a trusted profile, qualified electronic signature, or e-ID, meaning applicants need a PESEL number. A dedicated option for Ukrainians with temporary protection (PESEL UKR) will be available from May 4 for a three-year CUKR card, valid until March 4, 2027.
