PlayStation 5 introduces 30th anniversary themes and startup screen for limited time

PlayStation 5 owners can now enjoy five dynamic themes and a special PS1 startup screen to celebrate the 30th anniversary of PlayStation. This limited-time feature was introduced on December 3, 2024, marking the original console's release. To change the theme, players can go to the settings menu and select the new "PlayStation 30th Anniversary" option. From there, they can choose from the available themes or turn off dynamic themes entirely. The themes also change some sounds, enhancing the nostalgic experience. The PS1 startup screen and anniversary themes are expected to be available only until January 2025. Players can keep them by disconnecting from the internet and avoiding future updates, though this may limit online play and digital purchases.
