PLA hospitals in China adopt DeepSeek AI technology
China's People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is integrating DeepSeek AI technology for support tasks outside of combat. This move could signal a new phase in the military's use of advanced technology. The PLA is implementing DeepSeek’s AI in its hospitals and paramilitary units, suggesting it may enhance operational efficiency. Analysts predict that DeepSeek's AI could soon be used for intelligence gathering and decision-making in combat situations. DeepSeek's large language models (LLMs) have attracted attention globally. Earlier this month, a major PLA hospital announced it would use DeepSeek’s AI to help doctors with treatment plans. They highlighted that patient privacy and data security are priorities, as all information is kept on local servers. Other PLA hospitals across China, including the prestigious 301 Hospital in Beijing, have also started using this technology. This facility is known for treating high-ranking officials and is believed to handle sensitive personal data.
