Pisa's former Santa Chiara hospital sale nears decisive phase with buyer in talks

The sale of the former Santa Chiara hospital complex in Pisa is entering a decisive phase, with a potential buyer in negotiations and the regional government aiming to close the deal by autumn. Regional health assessor Monia Monni confirmed the ongoing talks during a visit to Cisanello hospital, expressing confidence in the outcome. The sale price is set at approximately 122.5 million euros, with the region preferring to sell the property as a single block to one buyer. The proceeds are crucial for financing the new Cisanello hospital, which is on schedule for completion by the end of 2027. The region has already allocated 35 million euros in emergency funds and secured a 200-million-euro deal with Inail to support the project's financial stability.
