Pipeline fire smoke affects San Diego County communities

A smoke advisory is in effect for parts of San Diego County due to the Pipeline Fire on Camp Pendleton. The brush fire, which ignited Monday, has grown to over 1,000 acres. Smoke is impacting communities including Alpine, Fallbrook, Pala, Ramona, and Valley Center. Air quality in heavily affected areas is expected to range from unhealthy for sensitive groups to unhealthy for all. Residents are advised to limit outdoor activity.
