A new photograph captures the Large Magellanic Cloud galaxy bursting with baby stars. Photographer Petr Horálek used a commercial camera and telephoto lens over three nights in Chile to capture the galaxy's star-forming regions and central bar. The Large Magellanic Cloud, a dwarf galaxy about 160,000 light-years away, is known for its intense star birth, partly due to interactions with the Small Magellanic Cloud.
