Philippines offers $180,000 grants for Hollywood filmmakers

The Philippine government is offering grants of up to $180,000 to attract Hollywood filmmakers. This initiative, called Expanding the Bridge, aims to promote the country as a top location for international film and television projects. In addition to the grants, filmmakers can receive a cash rebate of up to 25% through the Film Location Incentive Program. The Department of Trade and Industry plans to double its budget for local film incentives this year. The Film Development Council is also working on a strategic road map to strengthen the local film industry and attract more international productions. This comes amid challenges like rising production costs and competitive funding opportunities.
