Philippines holds national mourning for victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine

The Philippines observed a Day of National Mourning on November 4 for victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine, following Proclamation No. 728 by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. House Speaker Martin Romualdez emphasized compassion and solidarity during this time. Romualdez expressed condolences to affected families and communities, highlighting the importance of unity and resilience among Filipinos. He also acknowledged the bravery of responders and volunteers who assisted during the disaster. As of now, Kristine has impacted over 8.6 million people and resulted in 150 confirmed deaths, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
