Philippines concludes first Open Government Partnership regional meeting in Manila

The 2025 Open Government Partnership Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting concluded in Manila on February 7, 2025. This was the first time the Philippines hosted the event, which focused on enhancing government transparency and accountability. Around 700 delegates from various countries participated, discussing topics like corruption, digital governance, and climate resilience. The event featured dialogues aimed at sharing strategies for open government. Philippine Budget Undersecretary Rolando Toledo emphasized the importance of collaboration between government and civil society. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. also attended, urging leaders to build trust through dialogue and cooperation.
