The Philippine Embassy in Beijing launched a three-week food festival on Friday at the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The event features traditional Filipino dishes, allowing guests to experience the noche buena, or Christmas Eve feast. Ambassador Jaime FlorCruz emphasized the festival's role in showcasing Philippine culture and expressing gratitude to Chinese partners. Highlights include popular dishes like lechon, kare-kare, and desserts such as puto bumbong. The festival runs until December 21 and aims to strengthen cultural ties between the Philippines and China. It also includes a contest with a roundtrip ticket to the Philippines as a prize.
