Philippine Coast Guard halts small vessel travel in northern Quezon due to rough seas

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) has suspended sea travel for small vessels in northern Quezon province since January 10, 2025, due to rough sea conditions. This affects areas including the Polillo Islands. The suspension was based on a weather forecast indicating strong winds from the northeast monsoon. All trips for vessels under 250 gross tons in the affected areas are halted. The PCG will lift the suspension when weather conditions improve, as determined by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
