Philippine Coast Guard halts small vessel operations in Samar due to gale warning

The Philippine Coast Guard has suspended small vessel operations in Eastern and Northern Samar due to a gale warning from the weather agency. Vessels with a gross tonnage of 35 GT and below in Eastern Samar are also advised to halt operations. Additionally, the Office of Civil Defense has declared an "orange rainfall" status, indicating heavy rainfall that may lead to flooding and landslides in the area.
