PGI's hepatology department launches online appointment system to ease patient wait times

PGI's hepatology department has introduced an online appointment system to reduce long waiting times for liver patients. Previously, around 1,000 patients visited weekly, often facing uncertainty and long queues. The new system launched with over 500 patients participating. PGI has partnered with local service centers to assist those who may struggle with technology. Two dedicated rooms have been set up for online bookings and follow-up exams. The service starts with 30 patients per session, with plans to expand as more patients adapt to the new system.
