Pernem native appointed naval flag officer for Tamil Nadu and Puducherry

Rear Admiral Satish Shenai from Pernem has been appointed as the Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu and Puducherry Naval Area. He took over command from Rear Admiral Ravi Kumar Dhingra on January 8 at INS Adyar. In his new role, Shenai will oversee all naval units in Tamil Nadu, including air stations, and provide support to INS Kattabomman and INS Rajali. Previously, he served as Chief Staff Officer (Training) at Southern Naval Command in Kochi. Shenai has a background in gunnery and missile warfare and has commanded several naval warships. He is also known for his interest in running and reading.
