PC cases grow larger to house powerful components and cooling

PC cases are increasing in size again, reversing a recent trend towards smaller form factors. This shift is driven by the demands of modern PC components. Larger cases are necessary to accommodate increasingly powerful and heat-generating graphics cards and advanced cooling systems like AIO liquid coolers and multiple fans. Building in larger cases is also more convenient for cable management and component installation. While small form factor (SFF) cases appeal to a niche market, the majority of PC builders prefer larger cases for aesthetics, customization, and ease of use, leading manufacturers to prioritize their production.
