Patriots re-sign offensive lineman Michael Jordan and release tackle Jalen McKenzie

The New England Patriots waived starting left guard Michael Jordan on Tuesday but quickly re-signed him to the practice squad on Friday after he cleared waivers. To make space, they released offensive tackle Jalen McKenzie. Jordan, 26, has started 11 of 12 games this season. He originally joined the Patriots in January and was elevated from the practice squad for the first two games of the year. This move provides the Patriots with more options for their offensive line. They may consider starting rookie Layden Robinson or second-year player Sidy Sow at left guard, or activating Cole Strange from the physically unable to perform list.
