Patient organizations educate RMD patients in Belgium

Patient organizations are highlighted for their role in providing crucial educational resources for individuals diagnosed with rheumatic musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs). This support aims to improve patient understanding and management of their conditions. At the 2025 EULAR congress, presentations showcased patient organizations' efforts. One involved "introduction maps" developed by ReumaNet in Belgium, guiding patients to relevant RMD information. Another focused on raising awareness of sexual dysfunction in RMD patients through digital platforms and community initiatives. These initiatives demonstrate how patient organizations create accessible, tailored resources. The "introduction maps" have already been distributed, and the sexual health campaign has engaged audiences, emphasizing the value of patient-focused education.
