Paris imprisons man planning to join Syria jihadists
A man suspected of planning to join a jihadist group in Syria has been charged with terrorist conspiracy and imprisoned in Paris. The man was charged on April 29th with terrorist conspiracy related to preparing violent crimes. He is believed to have been attempting to join a jihadist group in Syria, according to the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office. The suspect, a former soldier, was known to intelligence services and was arrested upon arrival from Lebanon. He had previously been under house arrest and expelled from Morocco.
