Palworld Online is a mobile-exclusive MMORPG, not a port

Pocketpair’s Palworld is being adapted into Palworld Online, a mobile-exclusive MMORPG developed by Garena, announced August 3 for iOS and Android later this year, featuring new story content and multiplayer. Unlike a direct port, Palworld Online introduces its own narrative, side quests, and a seamless open world, with shared settlements, PvE world bosses, PvP combat, and automated Pal crafting. Controls are rebuilt for touch, including one-tap shortcuts for construction and base tasks. This follows Krafton’s separate Palworld Mobile, a closer survival adaptation, raising questions about monetization and player reach. The announcement coincides with Palworld’s peak popularity, including nearly a million concurrent Steam players and over 30 million lifetime sales.
