Pakistan has received a licence to build its largest nuclear power plant, Chashma Nuclear Power Plant Unit 5 (C-5), with a capacity of 1200 MWe. The Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority issued the licence after a thorough review of safety and operational documents. C-5 will utilize an advanced third-generation Pressurised Water Reactor design from China, featuring enhanced safety measures.
