Pakistan confirms no talks with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, emphasizes respect for terrorism victims
Pakistan's Foreign Office has confirmed that there are no ongoing talks with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized that any proposals for dialogue are disrespectful to terrorism victims. Baloch also stated that there is no agenda for engagement with the TTP between Pakistan and China. This follows a recent history of attacks attributed to the TTP, including a deadly incident in March that killed six people, including Chinese nationals. In other news, Baloch mentioned a recent meeting between Pakistan's Chargé d’Affaires in Afghanistan and the Afghan Defense Minister, highlighting ongoing diplomatic communication. Additionally, she noted agreements signed during Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko's visit, focusing on various areas of cooperation.
