OUFF adds 18 short films from 11 countries to its 31st edition

The Ourense Film Festival (OUFF) has added 18 short films to its 31st edition program, competing for best Galician and international short film awards. The screenings will be free at the Cineclube Padre Feijoo. The selection spans 11 nationalities, led by Spain with seven shorts, including three Galician works. Portugal follows with two, alongside films from Iran, Belgium, China, Cuba, Canada, and El Salvador. All fiction pieces address social themes like migration, violence against women, mental health, and historical memory. Screenings will occur in three blocks with free entry, though dates and times are pending. Some films have prior festival exposure, including "Samba infinito" (Brazil) which premiered at Cannes Critics' Week, and "Norheimsund" (Cuba) selected for Sundance.
