Ordan-Larroque hosts 24th Rare Plants Day with 50 exhibitors
The village of Ordan-Larroque will host the 24th Journée des Plantes Rares on Sunday, October 11, expecting around 50 exhibitors and nearly 5,000 visitors. Organized by the association Culture et Loisirs au Village, the event transforms the 4 Fleurs village into an open-air garden from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., featuring rare trees, shrubs, climbers, perennials, and exotic plants, plus garden tools and a specialized bookstore. Exhibitors include specialists in old roses, carnivorous plants, and worm fertilizer, known for sharing their expertise. Since 2003, the event has drawn crowds from beyond the region, supported by about 60 volunteers. Entry and parking are free, with shuttle services and food available, and the municipal archaeology and history conservatory will also be open.
