Orchid Pharma partners with Pharmasyntez to commercialize Exblifep in Russia

Orchid Pharma's stock surged after securing a deal to commercialize its antibiotic Exblifep in Russia. The agreement with Pharmasyntez grants exclusive rights for registration and commercialization in Russia, with Orchid supplying the finished product. This partnership is projected to be worth approximately $178 million over ten years. Exblifep is a novel antibiotic for serious Gram-negative bacterial infections, already approved by the FDA and EMA.
