Ooty hosts Rose Show, promoting ocean conservation

The annual Rose Show in Ooty, featuring over two lakh roses, opened today with a focus on ocean conservation. Exhibits depict sea creatures to raise awareness about marine life preservation. The three-day event, held at the Government Rose Garden, includes displays resembling various marine animals and contributions from horticulture departments. Cultural events and home garden competitions are also part of the show. The Rose Show, a key part of the Nilgiris summer festival, is expected to draw thousands through Monday, causing traffic congestion in Udhagamandalam. The Spices Show in Gudalur is also underway.
