OnePlus 16 vs iPhone 18 Pro in 2026: 8 Rounds, $304 Gap

The OnePlus 16, launched in China on October 12, starts at $895 with a 9,000mAh battery, undercutting the iPhone 18 Pro's $1,199 price by $304 while offering over twice the battery capacity. The iPhone 18 Pro wins four of eight comparison rounds, including performance, cameras, video, and software support, while the OnePlus 16 wins on price, display, and battery. The iPhone's A20 Pro chip scores 15% higher in single-core tests, and its variable aperture camera and ProRes video workflow edge out OnePlus's higher megapixel counts. OnePlus's availability is limited to China and India, with no US launch planned, making the iPhone the practical choice for Western buyers. The OnePlus 16's 100W charging fills its battery in about 52 minutes, while the iPhone's 4,056mAh cell supports 25W wireless charging.
