One in four teenagers believes being attractive means being thin, according to a new study. This highlights a generation struggling with body image issues. The Fondazione The Bridge survey of over 400 students and 69 teachers in Lombardy revealed that only 20% of young people associate a beautiful body with health. Many engage in sports primarily for physical appearance. Experts note a societal shift towards an aesthetic-focused body ideal, impacting both genders.
