Ohio reports stable COVID-19 cases with slight weekly increase

Ohio's COVID-19 cases remained stable this week, with 2,779 new cases reported, a slight increase from 2,751 last week. This is significantly lower than over 6,000 cases reported at the same time last year. The state has seen 795,548 residents receive the updated COVID-19 vaccine, an increase of nearly 100,000 from the previous week. Total COVID-19 cases in Ohio since early 2020 have reached 3,858,140. In the past week, 116 new hospitalizations were reported, bringing the total to 155,030. There were also 29 additional deaths, raising the total to 44,401 since the pandemic began.
