Odisha plans digital upgrade for urban local bodies by April 2025

Odisha's housing and urban development department plans to connect all urban local bodies to the Odisha State Workflow Automation System by April 1, 2025. This digital transformation aims to improve administrative efficiency and reduce paperwork. Municipalities will need to upgrade their hardware, including computers and scanners, to meet integration requirements. The Odisha Computer Application Center will manage the technical aspects of the project. The OSWAS platform, already in use at state offices, will now extend to local bodies. It includes accountability measures to ensure timely responses and reduce delays in government operations.
