Odesa man hid mother's death for pension and draft deferment

A man in Odesa region hid his mother's death for nearly 1.5 years to collect her pension and avoid mobilization. He illegally received over 72,000 UAH in pension payments and repeatedly extended his military draft deferment by claiming to care for his disabled mother. The man faces up to five years in prison for fraud and evading military service.
