Occult symbols vandalise David Hume's tomb in Edinburgh's Old Calton burial ground

The tomb of philosopher David Hume and two other memorials in Edinburgh's Old Calton burial ground were vandalised with disturbing occult-style symbols. A tour guide discovered a drawing of a woman with a bloody knife and a baby, along with coded writing on red tape. A Telegram group claimed responsibility for similar vandalism. The damage was temporary and removed by council officers. The cemetery has experienced previous vandalism and antisocial behaviour, leading to evening closures.
