OC Transpo to provide update on Trillium Line opening plans today

OC Transpo will provide an update today on the Trillium Line's opening. Transit Services general manager Renee Amilcar will discuss the completion of a 21-day trial running period and outline the next steps for the new O-Train line. The trial included a 14-day simulation of passenger service and a week of testing staff responses to issues. The line, which runs from Bayview Station to Limebank Station with a spur to the airport, achieved a 99.5% on-time performance. Amilcar previously indicated that final preparations will take three weeks, with the line expected to open to the public in mid-November.
