Nvidia completes $700 million acquisition of Run:ai as Samsung invests $181 million in Rainbow Robotics

Nvidia has completed its $700 million acquisition of AI startup Run:ai. The deal will make Run:ai's AI infrastructure software open-source, allowing compatibility with various AI hardware, not just Nvidia's GPUs. Samsung has invested $181 million in Rainbow Robotics, becoming its largest shareholder. This partnership aims to enhance the development of humanoid robots and will integrate Rainbow as a subsidiary under Samsung Electronics. KoBold Metals raised $537 million in a Series C funding round, valuing the company at $2.96 billion. The funds will support its AI-driven mineral exploration efforts across five continents and advance research and development initiatives.
