The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) has clarified that Musiliu Akinsanya, known as MC Oluomo, was not sacked as national chairman. Reports of his dismissal by the Court of Appeal are incorrect, as he was not involved in the legal proceedings. Moshood Ajao, a senior adviser, stated that MC Oluomo was elected during a zonal delegates conference on November 9, 2024. He emphasized that the court's judgment, delivered on November 8, did not impact Oluomo's election since he was unaware of it. Ajao noted that MC Oluomo was neither a petitioner nor a defendant in any related court case. This distinction supports the legitimacy of his election and underscores his role in promoting stability within the NURTW.
