Ashlin Fisher, alerted by the GoodSam app, responded to a neighbor's cardiac arrest, assisting his partner with CPR until paramedics arrived, guided by a triple-0 operator. The app alerts volunteers to nearby emergencies, providing location details and instructions. The GoodSam app, launched in NSW in 2023, connects trained volunteers with cardiac arrest victims, aiming to improve survival rates by providing immediate CPR. Over 9,600 volunteers have registered, with the goal of having a responder on every street.
