NRL rivals unite for Jai Arrow as Rabbitohs deliver emotional win over Roosters

Jai Arrow, battling motor neurone disease, led South Sydney onto the field for his 100th game, an emotional final appearance in the NRL season's last round. The Rabbitohs then defeated the Roosters 50-20, securing a home final in a match overshadowed by the tribute. Arrow, who played every game in 2025, was diagnosed with MND in winter 2026. The NRL changed interchange rules for his centenary match, and over 40,000 fans sang as he walked out with teammates and club legends, unable to run or speak. The tribute follows months of support, including a "Jai July" campaign and Souths wearing shirts with his name. Arrow has vowed to fight for his wife and daughter, with coach Wayne Bennett saying, "He needs us, but we need him too."
