Novosibirsk to raise public transport fares

Novosibirsk will increase public transport fares starting December 24, 2025. Metro rides will cost 48 rubles, and buses, trolleybuses, and trams will be 45 rubles. The city administration cited rising costs for maintenance, fuel, electricity, and labor as reasons for the fare hike. These proposed changes are currently in draft form and may be subject to revision. The decision follows an economic review by the city's planning department and a commission meeting on regulated tariffs. Previous fare changes over the last five years were recently highlighted.
