Nottingham's Vicky McClure urges TV to look beyond London

Vicky McClure, star of TV police procedurals, says the industry is too London-centric and a privileged space, urging change while promoting "Trigger Point" season four. Raised in Nottingham, she never moved to the capital, calling travel costs prohibitive for working-class actors. She recalled working at an office for eight years between auditions and missing roles in "Peaky Blinders" and "Suffragette." McClure, 43, returns as bomb disposal expert Lana Washington in ITV's "Trigger Point." She also founded Our Dementia Choir and will appear in Kenneth Branagh's next film.
