Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris to reopen on December 7 after restoration
PARIS, Nov 29 (Reuters) - Notre-Dame cathedral in Paris is set to reopen on December 7, five and a half years after a fire caused extensive damage. French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the renovation site ahead of the reopening. The reopening ceremony will include a speech by Macron, followed by a blessing from Archbishop Laurent Ulrich. The first Mass will take place on December 8, with some services open to the public. Visitors can book free tickets online starting in early December, with a limited number of spots available for walk-ins. The cathedral expects to welcome 14 to 15 million visitors annually, and restoration efforts have been funded by over 840 million euros in donations.
