Notorious B.I.G.'s Former Manager Wins Court Case Against Widow Faith Evans Over Trust
Wayne Barrow, former manager of The Notorious B.I.G., won a court victory against the rapper's widow, Faith Evans, in a Delaware case over control of the late artist's intellectual property trust. A judge granted Barrow summary judgment on two claims on Aug. 7. Barrow was named sole trustee by the rapper's mother, Voletta Wallace, before her death in 2025, replacing Evans' son C.J. Evans allegedly blocked Barrow's rights to the trust, but the court ruled in his favor, dismissing her counterclaim and affirming his status as a permitted transferee. The dispute stems from Notorious B.I.G., LLC, formed in 2007 by Evans and Wallace to manage intellectual property rights. Barrow filed his lawsuit in July 2025, while a separate ongoing case by C.J. alleges Wallace was improperly influenced in her trustee decision.
