Nima Rinji Sherpa becomes youngest climber to summit all 14 highest peaks and sets sights on new challenge

Nima Rinji Sherpa, at 18, has become the youngest climber to summit all 14 of the world's highest peaks, known as the "eight-thousanders." His final ascent was Shishapangma on October 9, 2023. Sherpa plans to attempt a winter climb of Manaslu without supplemental oxygen or fixed ropes, a feat never achieved before. He aims to inspire young Sherpa climbers and change perceptions of their role in mountaineering. Despite limited sponsorship, Sherpa is focused on promoting a sustainable future for Nepal's climbing industry. He hopes his achievements will motivate the next generation of climbers.
