Nightdive Studios releases remaster of classic PS2 game The Thing

Nightdive Studios has released a remaster of "The Thing," a classic PS2 game that is a sequel to John Carpenter's 1982 film. The remaster was unexpectedly launched, despite being initially scheduled for 2024. The updated game features improved character models, textures, and animations, along with enhanced lighting and atmospheric effects. Players take on the role of Captain J.F. Blake, leading a rescue team in Antarctica while facing the threat of The Thing. A key feature of the game is a trust system, where any non-player character can become The Thing. This adds suspense, as team members may turn against each other if they suspect someone is infected.
