NGOs denounce forced transfers of minors who tried to enter Ceuta

NGOs have denounced that Moroccan authorities forcibly transferred hundreds of young people, including minors, who attempted to enter Ceuta last week to remote areas of the country, often without clear return options or means to contact their families. ActionAid, working with Moroccan partner APISF, documented cases of minors displaced inland after returning from Ceuta, while Save the Children urged Spain's Interior and Defense Ministries to guarantee protection measures for all minors, citing images of transfer operations showing very young individuals. These expulsions are reportedly routine near Ceuta and Melilla, with the Moroccan Association of Human Rights noting prior incidents of night-time transfers to distant regions like M'rirt or Jenifra, and at least 62 detentions among returnees from Melilla.
