Newsweek ranks top continuing care retirement communities for 2025

Newsweek has released its 2025 ranking of America's Best Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRCs), featuring 300 facilities across 25 states. The ranking is based on surveys of medical professionals, residents, and key quality metrics, including accreditations and visitor satisfaction. HumanGood – Valle Verde in Santa Barbara, California, retains its top position for the second consecutive year, improving its score to 93.05 percent. Willow Valley Communities in Pennsylvania moved up to second place, enhancing its score by over 3 percentage points, emphasizing innovation and hospitality in its services. The ranking expanded to include five additional states and new data sources, such as Google reviews. Many CCRCs improved their scores, with Covenant Living of Florida making a notable jump to the top 10, highlighting community-building initiatives and wellness programs for residents.
