New Zealand Opera plans expanded season for 25th anniversary in 2025

This includes Puccini's classic, a community-focused opera by Jonathan Dove, and a return of a chamber opera based on a Jane Austen novel. The 2025 season will include more performances and greater chorus involvement than in 2024. The productions will be staged in Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch, aiming to engage local communities and showcase New Zealand talent. NZ Opera will also continue its outreach efforts, offering accessible performances and educational programs for schools. Subscriptions for the season are available now, with single tickets going on sale November 18.
