A school bus driver in upstate New York, David Ferry, was charged after he bought a rifle while on duty and drove a bus with 12 students. Police received complaints about his actions and stopped the bus. Ferry, 57, was found with a .22 caliber rifle, which was not loaded. Authorities stated there was no indication he intended to use the weapon for school violence. Following the incident, the Naples School District announced that Ferry is no longer employed there. He is scheduled to appear in court on February 18.
