New true crime docuseries 'In Cold Water' explores drowning case of schoolteacher in Canada

A new true crime docuseries titled "In Cold Water" will premiere on Prime Video on November 12 and on Sky Open in New Zealand on November 18. The series investigates the drowning of schoolteacher Laura Letts-Beckett during a fishing trip in Canada. The only witness, her husband Peter Beckett, was initially charged with her murder. He faced two trials, with the first ending in a hung jury and the second resulting in a life sentence, which was later overturned on appeal in 2021.
