New theranostic approach targets RET to detect and treat neuroendocrine prostate cancer

A new theranostic approach targeting RET shows promise for detecting and treating aggressive neuroendocrine prostate cancer. This method offers an alternative for patients whose cancer is poorly visualized by standard PSMA-based imaging, enabling both high-contrast PET scans and effective treatment. The research, presented at the SNMMI 2026 Annual Meeting, is currently undergoing first-in-human imaging studies.
